Last week, a new report suggested that Finnish mobile manufacturer, Nokia is planning to bring a 10-inch Windows RT tablet in Mobile Congress World (MWC) 2013. Now another sources familiar with Nokia’s plans have revealed that the upcoming Nokia’s tablet will include HDMI and USB ports, and a 10.1-inch display which is similar to Microsoft’s Surface RT tablet screen. It is also revealed that the tablet will feature a cellular connectivity.
It is mentioned that Nokia will make a battery-equipped keyboard cover that will wrap around the tablet like a book and integrate a kickstand. Nokia has also built a battery for the tablet which can give a 10 hour battery with fast charging that enhances the battery capacity to 50 percent in a short period of time. Two USB ports will be added to the device that can provide additional connectivity. Nokia’s first tablet will run on an ARM chip with Microsoft’s new Windows RT operating system.
Earlier, it was reported that Nokia discussed with Microsoft, Compel and Qualcomm to manufacture the Windows RT tablet. They had already planned to bring the tablet in first quarter of this year but as Microsoft launched its Surface tablet, they delayed the development of the tablet.
It is expected that Nokia will unveil the tablet in Barcelona, Spain during the MWC which is set to be held from 25 to 28 February 2013. In US, AT&T will become the first carrier to get the tablet in its store. We hope that Nokia will reveal more info about the device closer to the date of availability. At that time, we will bring you more updates. Stay tuned.
