Well, have you ever thought about this? A feature phone packing a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM? Never, right? Not at least from Nokia. But it looks like Nokia is soon going to launch a Symbian 40 (S40) series phone with a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and with the ClearBlack touchscreen display according to a recent tweet from Nokia’s Manager of Marketing in Argentina. Here’s the actual tweet in Spanish:
[The above tweets have been later pulled from the Twitter, so all we have is this screenshot (and some retweets) taken earlier.]
This new upcoming phone from Nokia is expected to run on Symbian Series 40 OS and will be powered by a 1GHz processor. But the questions still remain the same. Why would Nokia be bringing a feature phone with a hardware configuration like this? We don’t really have an answer for this currently but sure we are hoping to get more information along with the Nokia C2-06 next week at the Nokia Connection 2011 event which is going to be held in Singapore. Stay tuned.
