Nokia has announced the huge 41 megapixel camera sensor equipped Nokia 808 PureView handset at this Mobile World Congress Show. This handset is set for global release, with the one exception of United States. Good news is that Nokia is now planning to bring this beast to the United States. In an interview, Nokia’s US President Chris Weber told PC Magazine that Finnish company will sell the Unlocked version of the Nokia 808 PureView handset in the U.S. and it will be compatible with AT&T’s AWS bands, as well as T-Mobile’s 3G network. But there is no word yet on just when it may be ready to land on American soil.

It has been confirmed that Nokia will introduce the PureView camera components to Windows Phones. Future Lumia phone will adopt the 41 megapixel camera sensor for sure. We’ve had the fortune to see some early snapshots of an alleged Nokia Lumia PureView handset.
