Finally, Nokia has released the exclusive Nokia Drive 2.0 app for its Lumia Windows Phones and it is now available to download from Windows Marketplace. Nokia Drive 2.0 is a free voice guided turn-by-turn navigation app from Nokia that can be used without the need for an internet connection and it doesn’t use your data allowance to download the maps and navigation details.
The Nokia Drive 2.0 app can use the cached map data to support fully-offline route planning and navigation. It brings audio speed limit alerts, an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) display of the selected destination, adds lane assistance and new tracking of previous destinations. Using the Nokia Drive 2.0 app, you can download the detailed maps of more than 100 countries worldwide on six continents and you can turn off your wireless data transfer and browse those maps.
You can use the Nokia Drive 2.0 app in the new dashboard mode that will show you more details and list of recent destinations through a single tap and then start turn by turn navigation. The app also lets you to set speed limit notifications in the settings. It will warn you when exceed the speed limit of your car. It will track location, speed and the distance driven
In addition to the Nokia Drive 2.0 app, Nokia has also released the Nokia Transit app for Lumia devices. Coming out the beta phase, the Nokia Transit brings live information about the status of the public transport in your area, a list of directions for buses, trams, underground, or trains, public transport updates in real-time for over 512 cities around the world in 46 countries and 24 languages. It will let you pin a destination to the home screen, save favourite routes from different locations as a tile on your phone homescreen,
