It seems Verizon is gearing up to launch more than a couple of Windows Phone 8 handsets later this year. We’ve already presented with the render image and the live images of the Nokia Lumia 822 aka Atlas phone with Verizon branding. Today, a rumor surfaced online, detailing the specs of the alleged Nokia Lumia 9xx phone for Verizon Wireless.
Verizon’s Lumia 9xx is expected to feature same camera module with PureView technology as the international and AT&T version of the Nokia Lumia 920 handset, but with a higher megapixel count. Yes, you may get a 12-megapixel PureView camera on back side for Lumia 9xx, instead of the 8MP camera on AT&T’s Lumia 920 handset. The source is suggesting a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for the Lumia 9xx. Some reports are also suggesting the possible 41-megapixel sensor for the Verizon edition.
MyNokiaBlog claims that the tipster told them Verizon will charge $149.99 on contract for Lumia 9xx series. No word on the no-contract price tag of the handset. Verizon is also expected to announce the HTC Windows Phone 8X in the near future.
