In late October this year, the Chinese brand launched its highly anticipated mid-range level Redmi Note 12 series, which includes the standard Redmi Note 12, along with the Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+. Now, the Redmi Note 12 Pro is getting a refresh with an OLED display and Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The new Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed edition will be launched in China on December 27, and will also make its way to the stores later.
As you can see in the release poster, the Speed Edition’s rear panel comes with a cool green color gradient. The device features a 6.67-inch OLED display of FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, while the standard Note 12 Pro uses Dimensity 1080 SoC. Snapdragon 778G+ is slightly more powerful and can offer constant 60fps stability in games. Under the hood, the Note 12 Pro Speed Edition will have 12GB RAM with 256/512GB storage, which is not expandable. As per the release poster, it comes preinstalled with Android 13 based MIUI 14 OS.
For photography, it is expected to get 50MP primary camera with Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS. The rest of the sensors are including an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth unit. A 16MP camera should be located on the front to shoot selfies.
That’s it. More details about in-store/online availability, price of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition will be announced on the launch date. The release poster comes with a tag that says “More surprise, released at the event!,” that means, there will be other products launches.
