It’s been a while since OnePlus launched a new pair of premium earbuds. The manufacturer has been working on the successor of the 1st-gen OnePlus Buds Pro, which was launched in August last year. A new leak surfaced over the internet to provide complete information about the upcoming OnePlus Buds 2 Pro.
The latest information comes from the reputable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) in collaboration with PriceBaba, claiming they have full specifications of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. They claimed these earbuds can reportedly sport dual audio drivers per bud – one 11mm and one 6mm. Oppo’s Enco X2 is also having similar functionality.
According to the source, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will retain the high-res LHDC 4.0 codec, as well as spatial audio. The leak goes on to reveal that this little pair features an intelligent active noise cancellation which will go up to 45 dB and will be adaptive based on current noise levels in your surroundings, enabling ANC intensity adjustment in response to ambient noise. The new buds are tipped to have three mics on each bud for better and clear voice quality during calls. If you remember, the previous-gen Buds Pro scored high in terms of ANC with its “smart adaptive noise cancellation system.”
The case supports wireless charging. Battery life is rated at 6 hours of playback with ANC on a single charge and lasts up to 22 hours thanks to the charging case. With ANC off – they will last up to 9 hours of playback and 38 hours with the case. They also claim that a 10-minutes charge with the OnePlus Warp charger is expected to deliver up to 10 hours of playback. Leaving the earbuds in the case for 10 minutes will charge them enough to provide up to 3 hours of playback.
In addition to the enhanced battery life, these earbuds also retain IP55 rated for dust and water resistance. The remaining features are including 69ms low latency, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and more. We are excited to learn that there the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will support Google Fast Pair, which will help us set up and use it across multiple devices.
On the other hand, charging the case for 10 minutes with a OnePlus Warp Charger will provide up to 10 hours of playtime. Putting the earbuds in the case for 10 minutes will charge them enough to provide up to 3 hours of playback.
There is no word yet about the launch date and price details. But the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will be offered in white, black, and green. There are expected to be priced at Rs. 9,999, just like their predecessor.
