As Oppo prepares to release its highly anticipated Find X6 flagship series later this month, rumors have been swirling about the possibility of a new tablet in the works as well – the Oppo Pad 2. Leakster Digital Chat Station has recently shared an alleged schematic and some details about the upcoming slate, giving eager fans a potential sneak peek of what’s to come.
The leaked image of the Oppo Pad 2 also reveals that it will support a new “smart touch” keyboard, which comes equipped with a trackpad and a built-in kickstand. While it’s not entirely clear what “smart touch” entails, as Oppo has never released a first-party keyboard for its original Pad or Air tablets, it’s clear that the company is trying to incorporate new and innovative features into the Pad 2 to set it apart from its predecessors and competitors in the tablet market.
In addition to the keyboard accessory, the leaked schematic of Oppo Pad 2 also reveals a new stylus model (OPN2201), as pointed out by DCS. This suggests that Oppo is aiming to enhance the tablet’s productivity capabilities by introducing new features and accessories. Recently announced OnePlus Pad comes bundled with a keyboard and a stylus pen.
Furthermore, according to the leakster, the Oppo Pad 2 is expected to offer a significantly more refined and polished user experience overall.
The Oppo Pad 2 has been making the rounds in the rumor mill lately, with Geekbench revealing a Snapdragon 888 chipset and 8GB of RAM, and a 3C certification revealing 67W charging support. Unofficial information claims a 9,500mAh battery, while the tablet is expected to sport an 11.6” 144Hz 2,800 x 2,000px LCD, a bump up from the original Pad’s 11” 120Hz 2,560 x 1,600px LCD. There were also rumors of a Dimensity 9000 version, but it remains to be seen if it will be released.
Additionally, the leaked image shows an Oppo Find X6 placed beside the tablet, suggesting that the Oppo Pad 2 will integrate with Oppo Connect, a feature that streamlines connectivity between Oppo devices and even Windows computers. Oppo Connect enables users to seamlessly drag and drop files between devices, share the clipboard for easy copy-pasting, and even provides support for second-screen capabilities.
