We already heard about Oppo’s plans to skip the launch of the Reno 9 series for Indian markets, but directly jump to launch Indian version of the Reno 10 series. It seems the Chinese manufacturer is also going to bring the new member of the Reno 8 series to India. The device we are going to talk about here is Reno 8T.
Oppo never launched any Global Reno T series in India till date. So we can anticipate that the company unveils the Global Reno 8T series in India with a different label – Oppo F series. Two well known tipsters revealed that the Oppo Reno 8T will be launched as Oppo F23 5G in India. They also leaked official press render of the F23 and claims that the device will have Snapdragon 695 chipset under the hood.
Oppo Reno 8T 4G version has recently appeared on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standard). However, the Oppo F23 in India hasn’t yet been spotted on the BIS Indian certification platform. The Oppo Reno 8T has also appeared Geekbench platform with model number CPH2481. It managed to score 554 point in single-core test, and 1,873 points in multi-core test.
Specs wise, the Oppo Reno 8T 5G will sport a 6.67-inch OLED 10-bit display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. For photography, it could have a 108MP main camera with 2MP and 2MP sensors on the back. Under the hood, it will have a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, pairing up with LPDDR4x RAM, as well as UFS 2.2 storage, and the entire device will be draw power from a 4800mAh battery which has 67W SuperVOOC fast charging speeds, and it will ship with Android 13 based ColorOS 13.
On the other side, the 4G variant of the Oppo Reno 8T (CPH2481) will be offered with MediaTek Helio G89 processor with Mali-G57 MC2 CPU onboard, along with 8 gigabytes of RAM, a charging adapter with 33W fast charging capability.
The source also claimed that the Oppo Reno 8T 4G variant will sport a faux leather back, similar to the Oppo Reno 7 4G, while the Oppo Reno 8T 5G will share the similar design as the Oppo A1 Pro 5G and Realme 10 Pro+ 5G. In terms of availability, Oppo is expected to launch the Reno 8T 4G & 5G will by the end of this month for global markets, and an Indian launch may be scheduled for February.
