South Korean mobile manufacturer Pantech, has announced its upcoming smartphone, Vega R3 today. The device packs with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Processor and a large 5.3 inch Natural IPS Pro LCD touch screen that can deliver an HD resolution. The performance of the CPU is backed by its GPU ADRENO 320 and the 2 GB RAM deploys a complete multitasking environment to execute multiple apps simultaneously.
Pantech said it aims to perform better than rivals with the Vega R3, which is “the best existing quad-core smartphone” that enable users to handle the device with only one hand despite its large screen size.
“The smartphone market is changing into an unprecedented scene of fierce competition. Vega R3 is the best existing quad-core smartphone. I dare tell competitors to learn from Pantech”, Vice-president Lee Joon-woo said in the launching event.
It comes with 13 Mega pixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a powerful battery pack of 2600mAh. The device also features a Micro-USB port, Built-in GPS, and a microSD memory card slot.
The Vega R3 is expected to arrive in South Korea via all three major wireless carriers in the country and it will provide users with fast data transfer rates on 4G LTE networks. It seems that Vega R3 is meant to help Pantech regain a leading position on the South Korean Market. It will outstand when compared to products like Samsung Galaxy Note 2, LG Optimus G, and Apple iPhone 5.
