Last month, the South Korean manufacturer, Pantech announced its high-end smartphone, the Vega No 6 in South Korea. But at the time of official announcement, Pantech kept silent when it will start offering the smartphone in other regions. The device is now in Hong Kong for 5,980 HKD which is around $770.
The Pantech Vega No 6 is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, equipped with a 13 megapixel primary camera to record 1080p HD videos, a front-facing 2 megapixel shooter for making video calls, 32GB internal storage, NFC chip, 4G LTE connectivity, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. DLNA functionality, 3,140mAh battery to power everything, and more.
The smartphone packed with a 5.9 inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels is powered by Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS out the box. Recently, we reported that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note III will also have a similarly sized 5.9 inch display
In South Korea, the device is already heading to different major carriers like SK Telecom, KT, and LG U+. Black and White are expected to be the color variants for the smartphone.
There’s no further info regarding the availability of the device in other markets as of now. It’s time to wait for more reports.
