It is no secret that Google is currently in the process of developing its upcoming Pixel 8 smartphone lineup, which includes the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models. The official launch of these devices is anticipated to take place in October of this year. Recently, there have been several leaks and rumors circulating online regarding the upcoming smartphones. To add to the hype, TechGoing has recently unveiled new case images of both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, which can now be viewed by interested individuals.
The design of the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones has been a topic of interest for many, and last month, CAD renders of the devices were leaked, providing an early glimpse at their appearance. These renders indicated that while the Pixel 8 series will bear some resemblance to the previous models, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, there will be slight design tweaks present.
The case images that have been shared by TechGoing are consistent with the previous leaks and rumors surrounding the Pixel 8 series. The transparent case for the Pixel 8 model appears to feature a design that showcases the CAD renders of the device. Notably, the case includes a cutout on the top edge that is likely for a microphone, as well as some cutouts on the right edge for the power key and volume rocker.
There are also cutouts present at the bottom for the USB-C port and speakers. Additionally, the images reveal that the Pixel 8 has a raised camera bar that tapers towards the edges.
In contrast to the Pixel 8 case, the purple case for the Pixel 8 Pro reveals a wider opening on the back, which seems to be designed to accommodate the triple camera system, along with an LED flash and an additional unknown sensor. Similar to the Pixel 8, the Pixel 8 Pro’s case tapers towards the edges of the camera bar. This suggests that both models will have a similar camera layout, with the Pro version featuring additional sensors for advanced photography capabilities.
According to recent reports, it has been revealed that the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro will feature a conventional 6.7-inch panel, which is considered to be a standard size for high-end smartphones. In contrast, the base model of the Pixel 8 lineup is expected to be notably smaller than its predecessor, boasting a screen size of 6.16 inches, which is a reduction from the 6.32-inch display seen on the Pixel 7.
Google’s annual I/O developers conference for 2023 is set to take place on May 10, where the tech giant will unveil more details about its upcoming Android 14 operating system. Recently, the first beta version of Android 14 was released for developers to test. Additionally, it is anticipated that Google will reveal several new devices at the conference, including the mid-range Pixel 7a phone, the Pixel Tablet, and the Pixel Fold, which is set to be the company’s first-ever foldable phone.
