After rumors, teasers, and leaks, Realme has finally announced the launch date of the GT Neo 5 series of smartphones. The company release poster confirming the 240W variant of the Realme GT Neo 5 will be launched in China on February 9.
We already know this series will be offered in two variants – 150W charging with 5,000mAh battery, and 240W variant with 4,600mAh battery. Both these variants have also recently passed through Geekbench platform scoring similar scores in single/multicore tests.
Based on earlier rumors, the phone will come in a version with 150W charging and 5000mAh battery, and another version which is the 240W variant packing a 4600mAh battery. The phone already got certified and is said to feature 6.74 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED screen with 2160Hz PWM dimming and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
Based on the previous leaks, the 240W GT Neo5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, and we will also see a version with Dimensity 8200 that supports 150W fast charging speeds. RAM and storage configurations will go up to 16GB LPDDR5 and up to 1TB inbuilt storage.
The device is expected to feature a 6.74-inch OLED panel with an under-display fingerprint reader, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. For camera optics, we might see a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support, pairing up with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera on the back side. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
