Realme has officially confirmed the battery size and charging speed of the upcoming GT Neo 5 SE, which is set to be launched on April 3. As per the release posters, the smartphone comes packed with a massive 5,500 mAh battery, ensuring users can enjoy prolonged usage times without worrying about running out of charge. This is an upgrade from the original Realme GT Neo5, which had a 4,600 mAh battery.
In terms of charging speed, the Realme GT Neo 5 SE will come equipped with 100W wired charging capabilities. While this charging speed may seem slower when compared to the vanilla Neo5, which features 240W charging support for its 4,600 mAh battery and 150W charging for its 5,000 mAh battery, it is still quite impressive. With this 100W charging capability, users can expect their device to be fully charged in no time.
The battery life and charging speed are two of the most crucial factors that users consider when purchasing a new smartphone. Realme has made sure to provide a long-lasting battery and fast charging capability with the GT Neo5 SE.
Realme has also confirmed the device’s physical dimensions. At just 8.95mm thick and 193.1g, the GT Neo5 SE is set to be a slim and lightweight smartphone, which should make it comfortable to hold and use for extended periods.
Realme has made no secret of the fact that the GT Neo5 SE will be a powerful device, and the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC should ensure that it delivers the performance that users expect. This chipset is the latest from Qualcomm and is designed to offer fast and efficient performance, making it a great choice for high-end smartphones.
Yesterday, the company released a teaser on Weibo revealing the phone’s display specifications. The screen is expected to have a whopping 144 Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for smooth scrolling and gaming. It also supports high-frequency 2160Hz PWM dimming, which is a great alternative to DC dimming for people who are sensitive to lower-frequency PWM.
A well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station, shared an image of the phone, revealing some additional details. The screen size is expected to be 6.74 inches with an embedded fingerprint sensor, and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Realme has also teased “1.5K” resolution, though it is unclear what that exactly means.
With three cameras on the back, including a 64 MP headliner, users can expect crisp and detailed shots with a variety of options for creative expression. On the front, there will be a 16 MP snapper, perfect for capturing high-quality selfies and video calls. Design-wise, the device is set to come in two sleek and stylish colors: black and “Final Fantasy”.
A recent video clip shared by Realme showcases the back of the device, revealing that it will feature three cameras. However, unlike the vanilla model, the Neo5 SE will not have an RGB LED rectangle (you can observe it in the above image).
