Samsung has officially took the warps off the the new Galaxy Mega series of mid-range of phablets as affordable alternatives to the big-sized Note phablets. The new Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 phablets are carrying 5.3-inch and 6.8-inch screens with Android 4.2 OS and Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UI in tow. Company has also noted that Samsung is also offering all of its new software features that were recently announced for the new Galaxy S4 handset.
Unlike the popular Galaxy Note series, neither of these Galaxy Mega devices have got support for Walcom’s based ‘S Pen’ stylus, and the best quality of the display. The Galaxy Mega comes with a 6.3” 720p HD TFT screen, while the Galaxy Mega 5.8 gets a qHD screen.

Both the aforementioned Galaxy Megas will come preinstalled with a set of apps such as S Voice 2.0, Story Album, S Translator, Multi Window, Pop Up Play, Samsung ChatON mobile communication service, Samsung WatchON, Samsung Link, S Travel (TripAdvisor), Air View gesture, and Multi-Window. Users can connect their Galaxy Mega 6.8 phone to Galaxy S4s and Galaxy Grand phones with Group Play.
Samsung has noted both the Samsung Galaxy Mega phablets will be available worldwide with the rollout starting from Europe and Russia in May. Galaxy Mega 5.8 will be also available dual-SIM version. Sammy has kept quiet on the price information of both these devices. There’s no word the U.S. availability too.
