The SamMobile is at it again, with a set of leaked screenshots of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Altius Smartwatch. Recently, we’ve started hearing that Sammy is currently working on smartwatch under the Project J Active Fortius codename, and it would be referred as a smartwatch in Samsung’s Galaxy category.
According to the leaked screenshots, we can say that the rumored Samsung Galaxy Altius Smartwatch will have an OS by the name of AltiusOS Beta2, and it will ship with cellular connectivity, (as the screenshots are showing South Korean carrier SKTelecom branding), and 235MB of internal memory storage. Based on the resolution of the screenshots, it is clear that the device will have touchscreen display with 500 x 500 pixels. Screen size is unknown at the moment.
Users will be also able to play music, read emails and messages. In fact, according to a previous leak, Altius is also said to be the project name for the Samsung Galaxy S IV. But, here in this case, the smartwatch’s screenshots are associated with Altius code name. You can see from the leaked screenshots that it features Windows 8-styled tiles.
Samsung Galaxy Altius Smartwatch is expected to unveiled by the manufacturer long with the Galaxy S IV handset at Samsung’s Mobile Unpacked event on March 15th. Oh yeah, Sammy is also gearing up to launch the Galaxy S IV mini handset in the coming months (rumored for May launch).
