The roll out of the Ice Cream Sandwich update for AT&T Android handsets continues again. If you own an AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate handset, we’ve some exciting news for you. The manufacturer has confirmed that an update to Android 4.0 ICS build is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate handset via Kies tool.
Along with the ICS goodies for the device, the new firmware update will also bring easy multitasking, rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, deep interactivity, Face Unlock, improved notifications, device stability improvements, and a data usage tracking tool. The update also bumps the software version up to I577UCLH3 from the previous Gingerbread build I577UCLD2. Unfortunately, the update isn’t being sent by AT&T via OTA (over the air), but is made available by way of Samsung’s own Kies software (get it from here). So, you’ll need a desktop computer to be able to download the ICS update.
Go and get an USB cable to plug your phone into the computer. so that you can grab the ICS build from Samsung’s servers (full instructions here) for your Galaxy Exhilarate handset.
