With no official word on the release date in sight, the current situation of the Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Nexus has become one giant mess. Multiple sources claiming because they were informed that the Galaxy Nexus is no longer launching on December 13 (next Tuesday). We have been hearing that it would be out “before the end of the year”. Most of the tech websites have started to receive emails purported to come from a Verizon rep, saying that the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon will finally available to purchase from December 15. Yes, December 15 is the new target just like they excited us with December 9. However, the carrier has yet to make anything official so basically we’re having annoying situation here.
The Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Nexus ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and is just 8.84mm in depth, having a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 CPU with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage (with no microSD slot). The display is 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD with 1280 X 720 pixels of resolution. The front camera can take photos at 1.3MP and video at 720p, while the rear camera is a 5MP shooter with a flash, which can record full 1080p HD videos. Other features are including 4G LTE capability, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, aGPS, digital compass, a barometer (to assist with GPS accuracy), and NFC. Powering everything is a 1850mAh battery.
