Yes, users of the international Samsung Galaxy Note have a tasty frozen treat waiting for them today. Samsung is quietly rolling out the most awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Note N700 handsets across the world.
Samsung has yet to made an official announcement about this ICS roll out processor for the Galaxy Note device. It is pretty sizeable update weighing 318.89MB of size. As announced earlier in late March, Along with the ICS goodies, the update will also bring the “Premium Suite apps” – My Story, S Note, S Memo widget, Shape Match and more. It’s the XXLPY Android 4.0.3 build and the build date is May 4.
According to the reports, some German based Galaxy Notes have already been upgraded to ICS build using Samsung’s Kies software. You can also try to pull the update manually by hitting up the Settings –> About –> Software Update –> If the update is available in your region, you will be prompted to download the 318MB update that leads you to the ICS door. If the update has yet to reach your handset, don’t get panic. Your phone should get the OTA now or in the coming few days. You will get a notification on your Galaxy Note as soon as the update is available.
