Samsung has just confirmed that the Korean consumers will be able to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Player(YP-GB1) from February 4th till 7th. The 8GB Samsung Galaxy Player will cost you 399,000 won($355) and the 16GB model will cost you 459,000 won($409).
Samsung Galaxy Player is running with Android 2.2 Froyo, 1GHz chip set, 4 inch Super Clear LCD touch display, Sound Alive Audio technology, dual cameras with the available rear-facing one at 3.2 megapixels, HD Video Playback, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and Android Market and Samsung Apps accessing capability and a 1200mAh removable battery and some decent codec (FLAC /OGG / DivX /XviD ) support.. With the available specs, we can say it is an essential version of Galaxy S with out any cellular support.
Amazon UK now has the Samsung Galaxy Player in stock, and the 8GB Samsung Galaxy Player will cost you £150 and the 16GB model will cost you £180. We’ve to see if it challenge the iPod touch all the functionality of an android phone except without the service. Do you guys really think this thing dominate Apple’s iPod Touch?
