It is being heard that the Samsung and Boost Mobile wireless carrier would be teaming up to hold an event on April 5th in New York City to unveil an Android powered handset and it could be the unconfirmed Samsung Galaxy Prevail. Folks over the Engadget have managed to get a 19-page document from Sprint’s Prepaid Group, detailing the features of the Galaxy Prevail handset and it would be the first CDMA Android smartphone launched on Boost Mobile’s network.
According to the leaked documents, the affordable Samsung Galaxy Prevail comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, along with a 2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. Galaxy Prevail is having an unknown version of Android OS, which is said to be packing Android 2.2 Froyo. It is having CDMA radio inside, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB., Bluetooth connectivity, accelerometer, speakerphone, built-in GPS receiver, and support for IM and email. The Samsung Galaxy Prevail handset will be launched sometime in April, with a price tag of $179.99. There’s no word on the exact release date that when we can expect the Galaxy Prevail to land in the U.S. through the Boost Mobile carrier.
