Until now, we’ve seen several potential Samsung Galaxy S IV details leak out. Hear what the rumors are saying about just what Samsung might be thinking for its next Galaxy S IV hardware:
Samsung is rumored to be bumping up the resolution of the Galaxy S IV display to keep up with the competition from 5-inch HTC Droid DNA/Butterfly phablet. It will pack a 5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, Samsung;s own Exynos 5440 quad-core chip made using 28nm high-K metal gate technology, 13 megapixel rear-facing auto-focus camera (which is a huge nump from Galaxy S II’s 8MP sensor), 9.2mm thicker profile (In case you don’t know, ZTE’s Grand S 1080p Android is coming with 6.9mm thin chassis) and it will be running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with TouchWiz UX’s latest version on top of it. We are also hearing that Galaxy S IV will utilize ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture with an energy-efficient A7 processor. A couple of days ago, we also reported about a rumor stating that the handset could be announced with either Android’s latest OS version or Samsung’s own Tizen OS.
Stylus pen functionality for the upcoming Galaxy S handset means that the manufacturer will introduce all the exclusive features of the Galaxy Note II for Galaxy S IV, including S Memo app, Air View, Easy Clip, Quick Command, Idea Sketch and Photo Notes apps. It is also possible that Galaxy S IV will use an IR-based gesture recognition system.
