It seems that another Galaxy S variant will be headed to MetroPCS network. Samsung’s new Android came to our attention is a Samsung Droid Charge look-alike handset for MetroPCS and it will be called as Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G. The device is packing some impressive specs and by judging the leaked pictures, Gingerbread seems to be the Android version running on the handset rather than Ice Cream Sandwich build.
The specs include a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display with an unknown resolution, 8MP rear shooter with LED-flash, a front-facing camera above the display, a 16GB microSD card in the box, Dyle TV antenna for “Mobile TV”, HDMI out, 4G Mobile Hotspot capability and the device is rumored to having a single-core processor ticking at 1.3GHz. According to the FCC fillings, the device comes with 4G LTE capability.
