Samsung has today announced its March 2023 security update, which fixes 51 security vulnerabilities. This latest software update is now available to the Galaxy S23 series, making it the first Samsung phone to receive the update.
The update includes firmware version S91xBXXS1AWBM and is available to users in European countries such as Germany and the Netherlands. Other Galaxy S23 users in different countries can expect to receive the update soon.
If you own a Samsung Galaxy device, you can check for the update by going to the Settings menu and selecting “Software update.” users in Europe can navigate to their phone’s settings and select “Software update.” From there, select “Download and install” to receive the update.The March 2023 security patch is available for download, and it’s recommended that you install it as soon as possible to ensure your device’s security is up to date.
Samsung’s latest March 2023 security patch, which not only includes 39 security bug fixes released by Google but also an additional 11 security fixes for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. This brings the total number of security fixes in the patch to 50, with five of them being marked as critical and 35 as high priority. The majority of the Samsung-specific bug fixes are marked as moderate priority.
It’s worth noting that five of the bug fixes in the patch were released by Google, but they don’t apply to Galaxy devices. This patch is crucial in safeguarding the security of Samsung devices, and users are advised to install the update as soon as possible.
The update has a file size of approximately 350MB and may vary slightly among the three Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. The Galaxy S23 series originally launched with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 and is eligible for four major Android OS updates and monthly security updates.
