We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy S23 allegedly leaked in renders, cases, rumored specs. Now a new leak has gives us a chance to expect what performance the next iteration of Galaxy flagships will offer.
It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S23 will be worth the wait, if new leaked information from the rumor mill turn out to be correct. @AhmedQwaider888 took to Twitter to reveal Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered Galaxy S23 series will have significant improvement in different tasks compared to the Galaxy S22 series, which was launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The performance gains are said to be something like this:
Considering the Twitter user’s reliability in his reports, we’re willing to bet this leak is pretty close to accurate. Under the hood, each Galaxy S23 model will be having Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, overclocked with a 3.3GHz Cortex-X3 core and 2.8GHz Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A710 performance cores.
Samsung is rumored to enter its 200MP camera segment with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is also going to offer a large 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a reported maximum brightness of over 2,000 nits. Beneath that screen, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will apparently support 45W charging, and it is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery, which is larger than Galaxy S23 Plus (4,700mAh) and Galaxy S23 (3,900mAh)’s batteries.
Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S23 is going to be launched with Samsung’s upcoming One UI 5.1 build, along with Android 13 goodies. Samsung is internally testing the One UI 5.1 build on Galaxy S22 Ultra, S22 Plus, and S22 phones.
