The world’s slimmest tablet (as of now) Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is expected to hit the markets on June 8th, according to the announcement of Samsung back at CTIA announcement in March. It looks like June 8th is going to be the possible release date, and here we’ve got the list of retaile chains that are going to sell the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Best Buy has recently listed the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on its website, marked it as “coming soon.” It will be also hitting the OfficeMax markets in the near future. The folks over PreCentral have managed to get a tablet comparison chart of OfficeMax, showing the comparison table of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1. with the first Honeycomb powered Motorola Xoom, RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook and the HP TouchPad.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the dual-core tablet on a diet with a 0.33-inch super slim profile, is going to rock the newly unveiled Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, HSPA+ connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi only version, sporting a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel of resolution, dual cameras – 3 megapixel camera at back side, 2 megapixel camera at front side, 1080p HD video playback, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Adobe Flash Player 10.2, Samsung Mini Apps Tray, Social Hub, Reader’s Hub, Music Hub, 6860mAh battery and much more.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is already available for pre-order at J&R website. As Sammy announced, the 16GB version will set you back $499, while for the 32 gig edition, the price goes at $599 at J&R website. The wait should not be too long for Android fanatics’ hands on this tablet. Just a few more days have to go.
