Back in early June, Verizon Wireless made an official announcement of the 4G LTE version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and later the carrier started offering the pre-orders of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE tablets starting June 29th. The actual ship date for the 4G version of the tablet is listed as 4-6 weeks. But unfortunately, the carrier hasn’t yet provided any details about the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE, and we haven’t heard much about any other news of the carrier variant. It looks like, Verizon is set to release the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE tablet, as the carrier has started receiving the posters and flyers (pictured below) showing the 4G LTE tablet variant.
The new beautiful Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes pre-installed with Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, a powerful Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz processor, boasting a 10.1-inch HD capacitive display with 1280 X 800 pixel of resolution, dual cameras – 3 megapixel camera at the rear side capable of recording 720P HD video and the 2 megapixel front facing shooter for video chats, Big Red network’s 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Flash Player 10.2, Samsung Mini Apps Tray, Social Hub, Reader’s Hub, Music Hub, 7000mAh battery and much more. The tablet can playback video at 1080p HD format. It is only 8.6mm thick and weighs 1.25 pounds.
Unfortunately, the tablet is lacking the USB slot, microSD card slot for memory expansion support, but users can expand the memory storage using an optional SD card through the USB adopter, which would cost $20. Galaxy Tab is also lacking an HDMI out, but the users can purchase the 30-pin HDMI adapter directly from Samsung.
