Samsung P1000 GALAXY Tab is going to be launched on Vodafone carrier, powered by latest Android 2.2 OS(Froyo) with full voice call functionality. Galaxy Tab is only the first device in its series of slates, as it plans on making great steps in the tablet PC market.
Samsung Galaxy Tab features 7” TFT Capacitive touchscreen(1024×600 pixels), Cortex-A8 processor running at 1GHz, 512MB RAM, PowerVR SGX540 graphics, rear camera with 3.15 MP-(2048×1536) pixels with autofocus & LED flash, front camera with VGA 1.3MP, Android 2.2 Froyo OS, Adobe Falsh Player 10.1. It comes with 3G HSPA connectivity, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth® 3.0 and two storage capacities are on option, either 16GB or 32GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with Full HD(1080p) video player & Recorder(720×480)@30 fps as it will be the world’s first DivX Certified® tablet. While the front-facing camera allows face-to-face video telephony over 3G, the rear-facing camera captures still images and video that you can edit. There is an Apple like 30-pin dock connector on the bottom that allows for HDMI, USB, and docking accessories. Galaxy Tab’s standard back color is white, carriers might offer different colors.

Samsung Galaxy Tab’s 4000 mAh battery offers up to 7 hours of video playback, DivX and Flash videos included and the excellent Android web browser. Samsung’s unique e-reading application ‘Readers Hub’ was included on the slate, as well as its ‘Media Hub’ and ‘Music Hub’ solutions, offering access to films, videos and music and it also features a TouchWIZ user interface.

Price & Availability
The Samsung GALAXY Tab is expected to start selling in October in the majority of Vodafone’s European markets and the price has not decided yet. Keep watching this space for further updates.
