Samsung appears to be working on the successor of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE model, which was launched in last year. Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 8/Plus/Ultra models. The tech world guessed the manufacturer has ditched the S8 FE model. However, it seems that the company isn’t done with its Galaxy Tab S8 series. Good news is that that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Tab S8 FE very soon into the markets.
A new Android tablet dubbed Samsung SM-X506B was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website, which also revealed some of its key specifications. The tablet scored 773 in the single-core test and 2318 in the multi-core test of the Geekbench 5.
GalaxyClub claims that both the the model numbers SM-X500 and SM-X506B are associated with the Galaxy Tab S8 FE. Based on the Geekbench listing, the S8 FE will be powered by MediaTek MT8791V/ZA chipset, which is also known as the Kompanio 900T. The Taiwanese chip manufacturer has announced the Kompanio 900T in September 2021. This chipset is specially designed for tablets and Chromebooks. It has 2 x Cortex-A78 CPU cores, 6 x Cortex-A55 cores, and a Mali-G68 GPU.
The Galaxy S8 FE tablet runs on Android 13 OS with 4GB RAM onboard. It would be the first Android tablet from Samsung to ship with the latest Android 13 OS software out of the box. Source claims that the tablet has 5G connectivity modem on the board. Even though, the tablet listed on Geekbench confirming its imminent launch event, there is no word yet about when exactly it will be launched officially.
