Yesterday, Google has released the OTA firmware update of the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS for the GSM/UMTA capable T-Mobile branded Samsung Nexus S handset. But, the details of the Android 4.0.2 ICS build for the Sprint branded Nexus S 4G handset, haven’t been provided by Goole, although we hope that update roll out will happen very soon. But, if you can’t want for the real OTA, you should be pleased to know that an unofficial build of the Android 4.0.2 ICS OTA package is now available to download and install it manually on the Nexus S 4G handset, bringing the build number IML74K. Thanks to Android Forums.
The original Android 4.0.3 ICs build has been ported to the CDMA based Sprint branded Nexus S 4G handset. However, the ICS-Dooderbutt-4.0.3-v1 build for Nexus S 4G isn’t official OTA, so it will not work as the final version the real OTA package and according to users’ reports, some of the features are not working. GPS feature is also not working. You can download the ICS-Dooderbutt-4.0.3-v1 package from the link provided here at below and install, by following instructions provided at source link. Please note that the Android version of Nexus S 4G handset should be ClockworkMod flashable.
