Sprint branded Samsung Replenish handset is going to get a maintenance release update on July 18th, which also includes few minor updates. The upcoming software update’s baseband version for the Samsung Replenish handset will be treated as S:M580.06x.EF27, and the build number will be shown as FROYO.EF27. Please note that this is just a minor software update to fix some issues, along with some enhancements, and it doesn’t bring the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the handset.
The Changes To Take Place After Upgrading With EF27 Software Update

# Fix for the issue of the ##RTN# attribute resetting to all zeros which was started since the previous software update ED23.
The update will be delivered via over-the-air to the Samsung Replenish handset, and users will see the notification on their screen panels, asking to click on the Update Samsung Software and a Checking for software update message to download and install it using the simple on-screen instructions. To check the software version on the Samsung Replenish, users will have to press the Menu key from the Home screen –> tap Settings –> then click on the About Phone option, and after finishing the installation of the latest update, the software version of the phone should be displayed under baseband version and build number as S:M580.06x.EF27 and FROYO.EF27.

I wonder how I will be able to get this update if I’m not on sprint? I’m on boost mobile with this phone (it is a sprint phone though) so their ota update might not work for me! I’ll just have to wait to see if there is a file update for me through the recovery mode which does show a update option via sd card! Anybody who wants to see that simply just hold U while powering up the device & you will see it!
