The unannounced Samsung SCH-I200, aka the “Jasper” here in the states, has passed through the FCC with all the support needed for Verizon’s 4G LTE network. We first heard about the Samsung SCH-I200 handset in mid-April.Bluetooth SIG details have already revealed that it is heading to Verizon Wireless. FCC documents are also suggesting that Big Red network is getting ready to launch it in the States with support for LTE on the carrier’s band 13. The paperwork make things pretty clear that this one will sport a dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor under the hood, the same type used in the AT&T branded HTC One X handset.
The device in the question is said to be shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS out of the box, sporting an 854X480 pixel screen. We’ve to see how it will fare against the other high-end phones on Verizon, including the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III, Motorola Droid HD and other phones. No word yet on when to expect the Samsung Jasper, but our guess is that you shouldn’t have to wait much longer now.
