Sprint’s wireless prepay service Boost Mobile has teamed up with Samsung to announce a new Samsung Transform Ultra, the successor to the original Samsung Transform with some bumped specs and hardware. Boost Mobile’s Samsung Transform Ultra is going to be a mid-range Android device available at an affordable pricing.
Specs wise, Samsung Transform Ultra will feature a full QWERTY slider keyboard, touchscreen display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Boost Mobile ID packs (like Sprint ID), 1GHz application processor, a 3 megapixel rear camera with an additional VGA front-facing camera for video chats, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, support for memory expansion up to 32GB through microSD cards (with 2GB microSD card included in the box), all other standard Android features like easy access to Google’s services (Gmail, Gtalk etc.,) and more.
Pricing And Availability:
Samsung Transform Ultra will be available starting October 7th for $229.99 at Boost Mobile retail stores and select wireless dealers across the U.S. Boost Mobile will start charging a premium data fee for the Android smartphones, starting with Samsung Transform Ultra (the premium plan actually starts October 6th). Hence the new Android Monthly Unlimited will cost you $5 more than the current unlimited fee of $50 per month. This unlimited plan has the “shrinkage” facility.
