Good news for the powerful Samsung Galaxy S II handsets’ owners. Do you’ve any doubts regarding the Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update for your Galaxy S II phone? No more doubts now. Via its official Twitter feed, Samsung UK has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S II flagship will be upgraded to Android 4.0 ICS build. But, they haven’t revealed any time frame about when will they begin the update roll out process. This tweet was in reply to a few people who have been asking about the ICS update for Galaxy S II. The newly launched brand new Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first phone to run the new Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Samsung Galaxy S II is a really an high-end Android phone, which has got an awesome high-resolution display and a powerful hardware under the hood as well as other excellent specs. So, it sports more than enough power to run Ice Cream Sandwich and definitely deserves to receive the update. Earlier, we also reported that along with the Galaxy S II handset, Samsung’s entire lineup of next generation tablets will also receive the ICS update.
Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t promised any exact date to go with the announcement. Hopefully, they will roll out the update very soon and will not repeat the Galaxy S story. Samsung Galaxy S users have waited too long for their Gingerbread update as it is. So, it would be nice to just deliver the tasty Ice Cream Sandwich flavor and hope their promise is not going to turn out just another promise broken.
