Earlier at CES 2012 event, Sony has officially announced the Sony LT26i “Nozomi” as Sony Xperia S. A few days ago, we also heard that Sony LT25i Kumquat will be launched as Sony Xperia U. Now a new Sony phone – Sony Xperia P has been making news online today. This is the phone we’ve been following as the Sony LT22i, also known as the Nypon. According to the Indonesian equivalent of the US FCC, we got the retail name of the rumored Sony LT22i Nypon. It’s listed under the name “Sony Xperia P LT22i”
Sony Xperia P aka Sony LT22i Nypon is expected to be gracing the MWC 2012 event in Barcelona next month. So, Sony is definitely considering a new naming scheme, the same way it does with its Sony Tablet S, Sony Tablet P and the trend of Sony Vaio laptops.
According to the previous rumors, Sony Xperia P aka Nypon packs a 4-inch qHD display, powered by a dual-core ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500 chipset clocked at 1GHz, an 8MP Exmor R camera sensor. We’ll have to wait until we find out how the rumored Sony Pepper handset will be branded officially.
