Proving the previous rumors and leaks, Along with the Sony S1, Sony has also unveiled the another tablet Sony S2, which is having dual-screens (Two 5.5-inch screens come with a resolution of 1024 x 480 pixels each), designed for “rich media entertainment”, sporting twin hinged 5.5 inch displays that fold shut, like the Nintendo 3DS and Kyocera Echo but bigger.
Sony S2 is also running with Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS and touting as PlayStation certified tablet The S2 runs on a Tegra 2 chip and has a camera. Users can access the book reader application and an email app once at the same time so that the users watch the video on the top screen and operate playback controls on the bottom screen.
Sony S2 is also having PlayStation suite for gaming, Qriocity streaming service, Wi-Fi, 3G/4G compatibility, cloud-based services, access to Sony’s Reader store, Android Market and more.
Sony writes that “Sony Tablet delivers an entertainment experience where users can enjoy cloud-based services on-the-go at any time.”
Price & Availability
The dual-screen equipped Sony S2 tablet will be launched this “fall.” There is no official word on price info yet. But according to the sources, it might be shipped with a price tag of $699. Check out the more images and video after the break.
