Earlier this year, Sony issued a press release to let users know that the ICS update would be available for both Tablet P and Tablet S devices sometime in April. As promised earlier, the manufacturer rolled out the update for the Sony Tablet S in late April, but it missed the mark with the other tablet. Now, we have an exact date for the Tablet P. Sony Japan has officially announced that that have rescheduled the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich update and it will begin pushing out on May 24th.
Sony rolled out the update globally at the same time as the Japanese update for the Tablet S. So, the manufacturer will also release the update for the Sony Tablet P all over the world. from May 24th. Android 4.0.3 will be the build version and the update will bring some extra features including the “Small Apps”, which brings instances if browser window, remote control to run on selected apps, calculator and the update will also bring the common features of ICS build such as Face Unlock, improved text input.spelling etc. You can also launch the camera from the lock screen and take panoramic pictures.
