Sony Mobile is reportedly planning to introduce the Sony Xperia A and the Sony Xperia UL in Japan. The Sony Xperia A, codenamed Dogo bearing model number SO-04E will be powered by a Snapdraon 600 chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 2300mAh battery to power the device. Like Sony Xperia Z, the smartphone will reportedly support water/dust resistant, mobile wallet, One Seg, and infrared.
But there is no precise info whether the device with a 4.6-inch display is has 720p or 1080p res. Coming to the carrier it will be heading to NTT DoCoMo. Recently, the carrier had already started offering the Sony Xperia Tablet Z bearing model number SO-03E for sale in Japan.
The Sony Xperia UL (SOL22) codenamed Gaga is also expected to be unveiled in Japan and it will be carried by AU. The design of the smartphone is very similar to the Sony Xperia ZL and it will have a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB of Ram, 32GB of internal storage, a removable 2300mAh battery. Mobile wallet, One Seg, infrared, and water/dust resistance.
Both the smartphones will likely be available this summer in the region. But information regarding what version of Android OS will power the devices is not yet known.
It is worth mentioning that sudden death issue was found on the Sony Xperia Z smartphones but it was fixed by a firmware update recently.
