Yesterday, we reported that the Sony Xperia Z and ZL were up for pre-order in India. This time, in Russia, the Sony Xperia ZL is available for 27,490 Russian Rubles which is around $900(€690). The device has been listed on the Sony’s online store in the region.
The smartphone announced at CES 2013 sports Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS out of the box, a 5-inch HD Reality display with 1920 X 1080 pixels of resolution, 443 ppi of pixel density, powered by Qualcomm’s APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with four 1.5GHz Krait cores, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear facing camera with Exmor RS sensor, a front-facing 2 megapixel camera, 16GB onboard storage, microSD slot to expand the storage support up to 64GB, and 2,300mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, it supports micro USB 2.0, microHDMI port via MHL support, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. Sony hasn’t included IPX5/7 and IP5X ratings for water and dust resistance for Xperia ZL handset, which were introduced in Xperia Z.
Recently, the device was listed on the Sony Store US with a “Coming soon” status. Although the device is expected to be available only in Black and White color options, the Sony Store revealed that a new red color variant will also be introduced for the region.
In Russia, only the black color variant of the device is available as of now. Even though the White color is currently out of stock, it is expected to be available very soon.
