The Sprint branded HTC EVO 3D handset has reportedly, just started receiving its update to Android ICS. Earlier this month, Sprint already committed to roll out the ICS update for the HTC EVO 3D handset by the end of this month. As promised earlier, the Sprint version of the HTC EVO 3D is now being upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich build. The software version bumps up to v3.14.651.0.
So, what’s new Android ICS OS for Sprint HTC EVO 3D:

- # Improved Android Browser
- # Improved Camera Experience
- # Addition of Face Unlock feature

The update for the Sprint HTC EVO 3D handset will arrive over-the-air, and your handset will notify you once it’s available. Owners of teh HTC EVO 3D handsets can go ahead and check for updates and now find Android 4.0 availability by heading into Settings –> About phone –> HTC software updates and hit Check Now button and proceed with further on-screen instructions. Sprint notes that this update will be rolling out over the air until August 7th. Owners of either the HTC Raider or EVO 3D can go ahead and check for updates and now find Android 4.0 available.
