If you’re an HTC EVO 4G LTE owner with Sprint’s 4G LTE network connectivity and you’re ready to welcome any OTA updates on your handset, we’ve some news for you. A new firmware update for the HTC EVO 4G LTE handset has begun rolling out in the U.S. The new firmware brings Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich goodies along with Sense 4.1 UI customizations. The new software version bumps up to v2.13.651.1 (MR2).
The new firmware update brings bug fixes for random browser closes, minor Bluetooth issues, and it also carries updated versions for both the Google Wallet and Sprint’s Visual Voicemail apps. You will also observe improvement in LTE scanning.
If an update prompt hasn’t already hit your HTC EVO 4G LTE handset, you can always check for the OTA manually by heading to your phone’s Settings menu. To see if it’s available on your device, hit Settings > System Update > HTC Software Update > Check Now and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrading process of the new firmware update.
