Earlier this year, Sprint has officially announced its one of the first 4G LTE capable handsets, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but we’re not hearing about an actual release date just yet. Previously, an untrusted source suggested us that the handset will be launched on April 15th. But, it looks like it is set to release in late April. A new document leaked by a Wal-Mart employee tells us that the Sprint branded Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be hitting the shelves on April 22nd. The document has listed the release dates for devices at Sam’s club. Recently released LG Lucid 4G, Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G devices have also been listed with the appropriate dates and as we said earlier, LG Viper 4G handset is slated for April 15th release.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset will be shipped with Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich OS, a gorgeous looking 4.65” HD Super AMOLED display, an enhanced 5MP camera with 1080p HD video recording capability, 1GB RAM, 32GB eMMC, NFC functionality with Google Wallet support, a 3G/4G toggle switch that will allow the user to switch to a faster data speed. Previous reports have indicated that Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus handset will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core processor under its hood, while the Verizon model clocks at only 1.2GHz.
