It was rumored recently that T-Mobile is planning to introduce an unlimited 4G data plan for its prepaid service. It seems the rumor turned out to be true, the carrier has now confirmed the data plan. T-Mobile customers will be able to sign up for the unlimited 4G HSPA+ data, voice, and text on prepaid for just $70 per-month from today onwards.
There always have been some confusion with the name “Unlimited” in data plans. Yes, carriers advertise as Unlimited, but always turns out to be “Terns and conditions apply” type. For example the the previous $70 unlimited talk/text plan from T-Mobile comes with a 5GB of 4G data, once exhausted, you will get 2G EDGE data speed instead of 4G speeds. Well the confusion is now cleared, as T-Mobile has now removed the cap and the plan is truly an unlimited plan.
This new exciting plan was announced yesterday at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan will be available with no annual contract starting Jan 9(today). It can be noted that T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier to offer an unlimited, nationwide, 4G data plan with no data caps.
In a move to promote the new plan, T-Mobile is now offering the LG Optimus L9 just for $199.99 off contract.
