Last Thursday morning, three HTC Windows Phone 8Xs and an older Samsung phone were mysteriously sun tanned in downtown San Francisco. This seems to be part of a signal strength test with each unit containing a different radio.

A couple of images appeared online, showing Verizon bound Samsung Galaxy Note phablet with “Verizon 4G LTE” branding on back side. Verizon has also slapped its branding on the front-side home button of the device.
