We’ve a good news for the owners of the HTC-made T-Mobile myTouch 4G handsets. T-Mobile has just announced that the most awaited Gingerbread update will be rolling out starting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 20th. T-Mobile has noted that a limited number of users will only be getting the Gingerbread update, and all the remaining users will be getting the update in a few weeks.
Along with the Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, the update will also bring a set of bug fixes, software fixes and some new enhancements, including the latest Swype update, Exchange 2011 compatibility, fixes for Bluetooth audio while answering a call. The update also gets a better domestic roaming signal, a more responsive display during bootup, as well as the usual software and stability improvements and the users will be allowed to save their messages in the inbox.
Please note that it’s just Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update, but not the Android 2.3.4. So the myTouch 4G handsets’ users won’t be seeing the gTalk video calling feature in this update. Well, you might be one of the lucky users to get the Gingerbread piece of cake through small pilot test. Keep waiting for the update.
