U.S.Cellular launched the entry-level Android Smartphone LG Apex and the Android Tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab today on November 19th. LG Apex comes with a price tag of $79.99 after a $80 mail-in-rebate and Galaxy Tab costs $399.99 after $100 mail-in-rebate.
LG Apex features Android 2.1 Eclair OS, 3.2-inch touchscreen display, full-Qwerty slide-out keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, 4GB card inserted & MicroSD support up To 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, CDMA – 1x EVDO and more.
It’s five customizable home screens allow customers to create shortcuts to their favourite apps and widgets and it enables the users to access Google applications, including Google Maps with its turn-by-turn directions and Google Voice Search.
Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with with Android 2.2 Froyo and 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application processor, Galaxy features front-facing camera(1.3 Megapixel) and a rear-facing camera(3 Megapixel), 3G HSPA connectivity, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0 and 16GB built-in with 32GB memory expansion support via the microSD card slot and GPS Navigation capability and many U.S.Cellular services.
Galaxy Tab recently released on both Verizon & T-Mobile for $600 on contract basis.
