Owners of the HTC DROID Incredible 2 on the Verizon, well here’s a minor update coming on your way. Verizon is now rolling out the Android 2.3.4 update to the DROID Incredible handsets across the nation. This being a small update (weighs in at 32MB), mainly contains bug fixes and other minor improvements. And the Google Talk video chat feature that you normally associate with the Android 2.3.4 update is still missing.
The software update bears the build number 4.08.605.3 and brings in the following improvements:
>> Improved server connections for email sync
>> Increased stability of Visual Voice Mail app
>> Improvements in sending/receiving text messages while roaming
>> Improved dialling (with “+1” prefix) while roaming internationally
The update should have already reached your handset, if it hasn’t, you can always check manually for update from Settings > Software update to pull the update onto your DROID Incredible 2 manually.
Yeah, we can hear the cries of the owners of the HTC Thunderbolt. But there is no word on the Android 2.3 release for Thunderbolt yet. We are still counting on the HTC’s earlier statement that the Gingerbread update for the handset would be released by the end of the September (we’re now left with 10 more days!).
