Here it is. The Verizon iPhone 4 is official now. Late yesterday, we’ve already reported that it is going to get announced officially on January 11th. Verizon has partnered with the fruit company i.e, Apple. Verizon has just confirmed that the CDMA(non LTE) versioned iPhone 4 is coming to its network early next month February. As it is lacking the 4G LTE connectivity for which we expected hopefully, but yah it’s still a long-anticipated phone.
It’s just like a traditional iPhone 4 and is basically unchanged and everything is same. There’s no custom pre-loaded Verizon software nor Verizon services and it is having new antennas to hold the CDMA/EVDO Rev.A network and we can find are those tweaked CDMA-compatible antennas running in the metal band the bridges around the edge of the phone — four in all(instead of three), placed proportionately and forcing down the volume / mute buttons. And the only software change is Mobile Hotspot Compatibility, so that you can share the Verizon iPhone 4′s EVDO Rev.A connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Currently the Verizon iPhone is running iOS version 4.2.5.
For clearing out your confusions, the phone is Verizon Verizon 3G/ CDMA (EVDO Rev.A) only, no 4G data nor GSM roaming and its not a World phone too and it will only work in 40 countries that have CDMA carriers.. CDMA technology reminds us that only voice or data can be active at any one time, not at the same time as on the GSM/UMTS AT&T iPhone 4. But we hope Verizon will sort it out. Apple has confirmed that battery life is identical to the GSM model.
Price & Availability
Verizon iPhone 4 will be available on the Verizon Wireless network starting from February 10th on Thursday, with a price tag of $199.99 for the 16GB model and $299.99 for the 32GB model with a new two year deal.
Current existing Verizon customers can pre-order the iPhone 4 from February 3rd for the same standard prices on both 16GB & 32GB models with the same contract. We don’t have exact information whether Verizon will offer White iPhone too. The screen shot at below taken from the Verizon’s site only.
