Along with the ICS update availability details for the Motorola Droid Bionic handset, Verizon Wireless has also posted the details of the Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich update for the LG Lucid 4G LTE phone on its website. It brings the LG Lucid up to Android 4.0.4 and the new firmware version will be VS840ZV7.
The update also brings an enhanced notification bar, customizable lock screen and and Multimedia Pop Up for easy sharing of multimedia content, addition of the quick dialler widget, enhanced notifications, updated Adobe Flash Player (v11) app with Ice Cream Sandwich device compatibility, improved voice clarity during voice calls, power button will turn on LCD backlight while on a voice call, updated GTalk video chat with better stability. and File Manager app will manage the online files on the online storage.
LG Lucid ICS update package size is 384352MB. If the update is yet to reach your handset and if you’re impatient, you can keep trying to check for the update manually by heading over to Home screen > Menu > Settings > About phone –> Software Update –> and if you found a new software version is available for your device –> download it and finish the upgrading process. You can also upgrade your handset using the Software Upgrade Assistant Tool on your Windows OS running PC.
