As it is not the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update, Google Talk video chat is not supported by the handset just yet. There is no specific time frame set by the carrier to roll out the Gingerbread update for the Droid X2. So, we are not yet sure about when the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update will actually hit your handset. So, you may need to wait a bit longer and the update should be coming any time now, so keep checking your handsets’ display panels.

I’ve read multiple articles about Gingerbread available now for Droid X2. Yet I check my system version and it says 1.2.148 MB870. I hit System Update and it tells me I’m up to date. somebody needs to get their facts right. Is it available? Is it available in some areas and not others? Or are you like the tabs web site where you publish inaccurate information so we respond with our email address.
My phone has just automatically updated. Verizon is probably rolling out the upgrade so as not to overload the network.
My phone was working great before gingerbread. Now get an error message every time I send a text. It says “text message not sent” but they r bei.g sent. I am also getting several duplicate texts from other people
